Meet Phuntsog Wangdu, the owner of Angdu Homestay, situated in the scenic village of Khardong in Nubra. A farmer by profession, Phuntsog has a strong connection with agriculture, the land and the traditional lifestyle of the region. Established in 2025, Angdu Homestay provides travellers with a warm and welcoming family environment. Phuntsog has received training in cooking, hospitality and hygiene and is committed to maintaining a clean, comfortable and friendly atmosphere for his guests. Agriculture is an important part of the family's life and livelihood. Phuntsog is an active farmer with agricultural land, a kitchen garden and livestock. Guests who are interested can experience aspects of local farming and everyday village life during their stay. The family also practices the traditional craft of knitting with yarn, giving visitors an opportunity to learn about local skills and traditions. Phuntsog is happy to serve both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food and is willing to introduce guests to traditional Ladakhi cuisine.
