Angmo Homestay is a newly built and operational family-owned homestay located in the scenic village of Chumathang, Nyoma, Ladakh. Established in 2023 and managed by Rigzin Angmo, an active farmer, the homestay offers travellers a comfortable stay while providing an opportunity to experience the natural surroundings and everyday life of a Ladakhi farming family. The homestay has five guestrooms within an eight-room family home. The rooms include one spacious room measuring approximately 12 × 18 sq. ft. and four rooms measuring 12 × 14 sq. ft. Guests have access to well-maintained bathrooms with hot and cold water, a dining area, and free parking. Regular electricity is available, with solar lanterns and a generator providing backup during power cuts. Angmo Homestay serves vegetarian food and the family is happy to prepare traditional Ladakhi cuisine for guests. As an active farming household, the family has agricultural land, a functional kitchen garden, and a reliable source of milk. Guests can engage with the family and experience aspects of local farming, village life, and daily activities.
