Rinchen Tondup, the owner of Dhayangs Homestay in Skampuk Village, Nubra, is an ex-serviceman who has brought his experience, discipline, and sense of hospitality into running a homestay. Established in 2023, Dhayangs is an operational family-owned homestay that offers visitors an opportunity to experience the peaceful environment, culture, and everyday life of a Ladakhi village. With his primary household income coming from an Army pension, Rinchen Tondup has developed the homestay as an additional source of livelihood while creating a welcoming space for travelers. The homestay has two guest rooms and provides comfortable facilities, including a dining area, parking, hot and cold water, and winter heating arrangements.
