The homestay features two well-furnished guest rooms, with rooms measuring approximately 10 × 10 sq. ft. and 12 × 12 sq. ft. Guests can enjoy a dining area, well-maintained bathrooms with hot and cold water, free parking, regular electricity and solar backup lighting. The homestay is conveniently located close to the main road and local market. Guests can enjoy both local and other cuisines, with traditional Ladakhi food available on request. As an active farmer with agricultural land and a kitchen garden, Thukjay can also introduce visitors to local farming, village activities and the seasonal rhythm of life in Khardong. The surrounding area offers opportunities to explore the local Gonpa and beautiful village views, while Khardong Market and T-Mord provide additional places to discover the local community.

Meet Thukjay Dolma, the warm and welcoming owner of Dorzam Homestay, located in the beautiful village of Khardong in Nubra. With a passion for hospitality and a strong connection to her local community, Thukjay enjoys welcoming travellers and helping them experience the peaceful beauty and culture of Ladakh. Along with managing the homestay, Thukjay is involved in restaurant business and farming. She is comfortable communicating in Hindi and English and has received training in cooking, hospitality and hygiene. She takes pride in maintaining a clean, comfortable and welcoming environment for her guests. Thukjay is happy to serve both local and other cuisines and is especially willing to introduce guests to traditional Ladakhi food and local ways of life. Guests can also experience the surrounding village, agricultural activities and local culture during their stay.
