Meet Dorjey Angchuk, the owner of Karpon Kangbu Homestay, located in the picturesque village of Khardong in Nubra. A farmer by profession, Dorjey is deeply connected to the land and the traditional way of life of the village. Established in 2025, Karpon Kangbu offers travellers a peaceful and comfortable stay in a welcoming family environment. Dorjey has received training in cooking and guest handling and is keen to further strengthen his skills in hospitality, hygiene, online booking, local cuisine and language. Agriculture is an important part of Dorjey's life and household income. He maintains agricultural land and a kitchen garden and also has access to milk through livestock. Guests staying at Karpon Kangbu can experience aspects of local farming, village life and traditional activities.
