Tongpa Homestay is a newly built, family-owned homestay located in the scenic village of Khardong, Nubra. Established in 2025 and surrounded by the natural beauty and traditional lifestyle of Ladakh, the homestay offers a comfortable and welcoming stay for travellers looking to experience local culture, farming, and village life. The homestay has two well-furnished guest rooms, each approximately 15 × 13 sq. ft., along with dining facilities, parking, a good-condition guest bathroom with hot and cold water, regular electricity, and winter heating facilities including a Bukhari and heater. Solar lanterns and a generator are available as backup during power cuts. Guests can enjoy both local and other cuisines, with the owner willing to serve traditional Ladakhi food. As an active farmer with agricultural land and a functional kitchen garden, the host can offer visitors opportunities to experience local farming, traditional activities, handicrafts, and everyday village life. Family members also practice traditional knitting skills.

Established in 2025, Tongpa Homestay is a newly built and operational property developed with the aim of participating in the growing tourism economy of the region while creating an additional source of livelihood for the family. The household's primary occupations and income sources are connected with agriculture and the hotel business. The owner's experience in farming provides a strong connection with the local landscape and rural way of life, while the family's involvement in the hotel sector provides an existing understanding of hospitality and tourism.
