Solar battery/inverter systems and solar lanterns provide backup lighting during power cuts. Guests can enjoy both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals, with the host willing to prepare traditional Ladakhi cuisine. Padma Chondol is a farmer, and the family’s connection with agriculture allows visitors to experience aspects of local rural life. Guests can also discover the family’s traditional skill of needle felting, offering an insight into the handicraft traditions of the region.
