Set in the peaceful village of Chamshan in Nubra, Namru Homestay is a newly built, family-owned homestay established in 2026. Surrounded by the distinctive landscapes and cultural heritage of the Nubra Valley, Namru offers travellers a comfortable and welcoming base from which to experience authentic Ladakhi village life. The homestay features two spacious, well-furnished guest rooms, measuring approximately 15 × 16 ft and 17 × 15 ft. Guests can enjoy a dedicated dining area, well-maintained bathrooms with hot and cold water, regular electricity, free parking, and winter heating through a traditional Bukhari and heater. A solar battery/inverter system provides backup lighting during power cuts. Namru is closely connected to the family's rural lifestyle. The owner is an active farmer with agricultural land, a functional kitchen garden, and livestock, allowing guests to experience aspects of farming, local food production, and everyday village life. Visitors can also engage with traditional skills such as knitting and enjoy authentic Ladakhi cuisine prepared by the host family.

With a life shaped by service, agriculture, and the traditions of his village, Tundup brings a strong sense of warmth and community to his approach to hospitality. Today, Tundup remains actively connected to farming and manages agricultural land and a kitchen garden. His home also reflects the family’s connection to traditional skills, including knitting. Guests at Namru can experience local food, farming, village traditions, and everyday life while enjoying the comfort of a welcoming local home.
